I am part of a musical family so the love of music comes naturally. My father was particularly influential. He performed in jazz bands during his youth and was a music educator by profession. I was taught to appreciate classical music focusing on the late Baroque through the Romantic periods. Today, I admire and enjoy the more recent classical music written by today's masters for the motion picture industry. However, my compositions and arrangements reflect the music sang in church choirs and in the pew over a lifetime.
In retirement, I have devoted time to compositions for what I term the traditional church choir. My goal is to contribute in a small way to the body of traditional church choral music. More importantly, I am composing music for the glory of God and bringing God's Word to people in the form of song.
