(1) In time of trouble look to God for deliverance.
Mankind is born into trouble; it comes like the night.
Seek comfort in God's Word and pray for God's intervention.
With God's help, we will not be frightened though the earth give way.
For in the day of trouble, the Lord will keep us safe.
God is our shield, our fortress when troubles threaten to overwhelm.
Cry for help when problems mount, take it to the Lord in prayer.
Have mercy Lord, calm us, give us strength when we are weak.
(2) In time of trouble look to God for support and hope.
God will refresh us and rescue us from our distress.
Always be confident of God's love, so do not despair.
The Lord is our light in time of darkness, who should we fear?
Do not worry for the future, we belong to God.
God sustains us and strengthens our resolve in days of oppression.
God is with us always, so be courageous not anxious.
